A large group of pottery kilns dated to the late 3rd and 4th centuries has been found at Norton on Derwent. For more details, follow the Pastscape links. The most recently discovered kiln, at Norton Community Primary School, was excavated and the results published in a monograph by MAP Archaeological Practice.
