The site lies to the north of the possible villa site at Tuft Hill. It has been identified from cropmarks on aerial photos, and finds of storage jars and masonry in 1824 may have come from the site. Its relationship to the nearby Tuft Hill site is uncertain - it may be a small villa site in its own right.

North of Tuft Hill Farm, a linear feature running NNE/SSW of a minor Roman road or trackway, (TA 06 NE 31) visible as a double-ditch with medial surface runs towards the Rudston Villa complex (TA 06 NE 10). Rectilinear enclosures lie east and west of the road with other field ditches; the whole may represent another villa complex.
