Some fragments of tesselated pavement were found here in 1839, and in 1858  the foundations of a Roman building were discovered, which appears to have been of considerable magnitude. It is not clear whether these two reference apply to the same building. It is possible the two references are to separate buildings.

Not enough evidence to confidently interpret the site as a villa.
